About Sarah Hodgkiss
I am a British artist and illustrator, currently living in and working from Jeju Island, South Korea.
I have been a part-time freelance artist for five years - connecting directly with clients across the globe. I work from a home studio, which makes for a very easy commute.
My aim is to create easy and comfortable communication with clients that can lead to vibrant and lively work that people can enjoy.
Behind the art
My inspiration comes from the world around me. I have a passion for travel and experiencing new cultures, which directly influences my artwork.
I believe that life is an adventure and there is an abundance of inspiration all around us.
From the beginning
Having grown up and completed my education in England, I have the fondest memories of my art classes. My art teacher was hard-working, empathetic, and encouraging and she inspired my love of all things creative. I went on to get a Bachelors Degree of Fine Art at Loughborough University.
Recently, I been working as a freelance artist and illustrator from a home studio. I use both digital and traditional mediums, and my dream is for art and illustration to become my full-time job. I have published one children’s book, and am currently working on a second.
I am updating my portfolio and will soon be looking for an
agent for represention.
